Mythopoetry as Imago!

I have begun work on a Romantasy novel titled “Bandymass” ~ {root: Bandymas, Lithuanian for ‘trial’}

Pitch: 7 mages gather in a shapeshifting labyrinth to graduate into their rightful place as rulers of the world.

The story is about 7 Magi taking part in the initiating trial to become Maegisters, or the powers-that-be within the mystical secret societies of modernity…Bandymass typically becomes a battle royale in which a triumvirate or duo of Magi emerge as victors by slaying the remainder via spellcraft and duplicity.

However, this Bandymass will be different. The present-year Praeclarus, or #1 candidate, gets to choose the game — and Luster Zobe has determined to create a class that will unite all 7 initiares into a kind of Magi Justice League. No lethality, pure information exchange and team-building exercises.

{Luster is also on the search for his wife!!}

Will he get his wish? Or will collectivist ambitions be crushed by the rampant egomania of the Magi? {Work goes on…about 60K words into Draft 1.}

Going into 2026, I am resolved to continue writing my books. Outside of that, I want to commit to reading more books and being more in community with my fellow indie authors.

  • Complete my pair of WIP novels: TECHA IMMORTALIS (techno thriller) & [BANDYMASS] (romantasy)
  • Outline & begin work on two new WIPs: [Dark Fantasy] & [Epic Fantasy]
  • Read more books / Write more book reviews.
  • Connect more with individual indie authors.
  • Engage in more IRL community activity.
  • Spend less time on social media.
  • Consistent workouts x Meditation routine.

Blog #6: SUPERNAL STORIES, volumes of old short fiction

I am returning to my old Thresholds of Transformation short fiction and re-revising the stories for the sake of collecting them into a series of books.

The volumes will be titled *Supernal Stories* and will be organized thematically.

“Supernal” meaning celestial, the stories involve all sorts of phantastical encounters reminiscent of The Twilight Zone. These stories also double as a platform to reveal my progression as a writer; they were penned over a period of 7 years and so there shall be 7 volumes, each one containing stories from each of the 7 years.

Supernal Stories, Volumes 1-7, will be released throughout 2025-2026.

Blog #4: Next Project — TECHA IMMORTALIS

My next novel project, formerly a kind of wonky TV show script idea, is titled TECHA IMMORTALIS ~ and it is about a techie whistleblower and an immortal lesbian supersoldier. He is a former neurohacker that found a terrible company secret; she’s ex-military, washed out of special ops training after a secret serum mutated her mind and memory. She has recently discovered her regenerative immortality and he’s resolved to blow the whistle on nefarious activities, sacrificing his burgeoning career in the process. They both work for Eden Corp, the world monopoly of various hardware and software led by the monomaniacal CEO Maximillion Lex…Plans change and amplify when they meet one another by happenstance. In order to really take down their old boss and his company, they team up to infiltrate his mega-yacht cruise ship during WorldGod in order to steal his new product launch — handheld zero-point energy capsules. However, the cruise soon becomes embroiled in an out-of-control terrorist attack from a third party team of flamboyant superpowered rogues…TECHA IMMORTALIS is a sci-fi action-thriller novel inspired by Metal Gear Solid, Clive Cussler, and Lethal Weapon.

I started drafting my next project, a short story collection with the title of “ANTHOLOGEE”, during September and October. So far, about fifteen of the twenty-three planned stories have been drafted — and MOST of them have been submitted to magazines and short fiction contests.

ANTHOLOGEE comprises a collection of horror short stories dealing with supernatural themes and moral failings and the power of good and evil.

An eclipse invades a battlefield and the minds of its warriors; a wounded soldier wakes up buried under a pile of bodies and makes a wish; a cryptid from the stars arrives for a bold appearance before the campfire; a traveling jester engages a secret living as a highwayman…interconnected folk horror stories about supernatural phenoms and dark transformations.

It has been an entertaining and creative journey thus far, and I am looking forward to seeing if I can impress some publishers.

I even paid for the blue check (amplifies your reach and lets you write “Articles” ooh-lala). My handle is @finalboyo ~ a secret reference to a creation yet to be…

I am using the account to announce my work and inform the wider world of my taste {and my sense of humor via irreverent memery}.

I have also been trying to get involved in the #WritingCommunity there…though the space is filled with bots & spam. Alas! I will keep trying.

Blog #1: My Goals

My goals with this author website and my writing process are to become a published novelist. I would like to write for a living, so I am going to live as a writer does. This means writing many things and submitting them and keeping to the spirit of commitment and passion, best as I can manage. The empire may be crumbling, but I have faith in a better tomorrow. I hope for my imagination to be a part of the future, so I write to my heart’s desire. 

I have drafted and revised 4 books in the last year and a half. Why? Because I was courageously inspired, by friends and ideas. I decided to pursue some vivid story seeds and devote more of my free time to bringing these worlds to life. The results are the following novels that I am now querying to agents worldwide: 

  1. Journeyers (epic fantasy) Book 1+2 // 400 + 600 pages
  2. Wherever He May Swarm (horror x comedy) // 300 pages
  3. Cyber-Serial: Postmodern Prometheus (cyberpunk x hopepunk) // 280 pages

I hope to capture the imagination of readers and begin publishing my work soon.
